LAUNCH OF THE RBC (Rats Book Club aka Rats Beer Club)
Momentous Moment and About Time Announcement: Formation of the “Rats Book Club” aka “Rats Beer Club” simply known as the ‘RBC’!
In response to the growing interest in reading books (mostly sport, but greyer shades also acceptable), or at least discussing the possibility of reading, while quaffing fine beer, the RBC has been established so that like-minded individuals of all sexes and persuasions, restricted only by law as to beer drinking age eligibility, ie completely PC, has been established.
Inaugural meeting will have a Book (ie Beer) expert explaining the art of quaffing (with appropriate samples), oh and reading, of course (like all those wonderful Book Clubs out there that seem to find wine bottle labels best reading for the eve) and will be at the home of book readers and beer quaffing – Pirates Club, Greenside!

PIRATES IS HOSTING A HIGHVELD STRIKERS CRICKET MATCH
Pirates Cricket will be hosting the Highveld Strikers Cricket team (Provincial A side) against Northerns next weekend. The game starts on Thursday 1st November and is a 3-day game. This will be followed by a 50 over match on Sunday 2nd November between the same sides. Come down to the Club and watch some great cricket right on your doorstep at your own club.
