  • A deposit of 50% is required within 24 hours to secure the date. Balance to be paid 7 days before the function. Hiring fee includes a Barman with fully stocked bar, a cleaner, tables, chairs, table cloths, crockery and cutlery. Waitresses can be arranged at a cost of R150 an hour. Overtime charges: R300 per hour or part thereof after 12am. 10% surcharge for functions on a Sunday or Public Holiday. Prices quoted are for either a lunch, afternoon or evening session. Car Park Security: R180 each for a session of 6 hours – strongly recommended! Please pay the attendant/s cash at the end of the function.

  • The Head Barman in charge of the function will have sole discretion to make any decisions for and on behalf of the Club. Last round will be called 30 minutes before the function ends. The overtime charges will be incurred until the last guest leaves, even if you have left and/or instructed the Barman to close the bar. The Bar closes latest at 2am in accordance with the liquor act. No beverages are allowed to be brought on to the property unless prior arrangement with management has been made. Corkage of R30 a bottle of 750ml wine will be charged. No spirits or liquors will be allowed. If found, you (the person in charge of the function) will be charged full bar prices and the person responsible will be asked to vacate the premises immediately. Only Birthday parties from 21 years and older will be permitted. Under no circumstances will guests under 18’s be served alcohol. Proof of age may be requested. Cancellation: Should the function be cancelled less than 8 days before the due date, the deposit will unfortunately be non-refundable. Any cancellation before 8 days will incur an admin fee of 10%. Music and equipment must be organised by yourself. All music must be turned down after midnight as we are in a residential area and need to respect our neighbours, as well as adhering to Council bylaws. Failure to do so will incur a hefty fine. Catering: Pirates Sports Club does have an in-house Catering company with whom you must liaise with independently – Pirates Grill, contact Warren 073 310 6655, You may however use your own catering company but unfortunately the kitchen will then not be available, so all heating and serving equipment to be supplied by yourself. Power: Pirates Sports Club and its employees cannot accept liability for power outages due to “Load-shedding”. Arrangements for such circumstances are the responsibility of the client. Damages: Any breakages that occur during your function, including any structural damage, will be for your account. No smoking will be permitted in any function room or toilets. Décor: Permission must be obtained if you are wanting to drape any area, or hang or attach any décor on the walls & roof. All candles must be placed on/in safe containers & not drip onto the cloths. The Club cannot be held responsible for any belongings or equipment left behind. All items must be collected before 10am the next day including draping and decorations.
