Good Morning Pirates Friends The time of the year for me to take my holiday has arrived – my last day of work is today. Thank you to everyone who supported the Club Draw and Christmas Party – we had a lovely evening and had a good farewell to Dave. The money was not won so there is good money to win next year in the first draw of the month in January – date to follow. Thank you to ALL the members for their tremendous support this year for both myself on a personal basis and for the Club. There are many people who have been a power of strength for me throughout the year and for this I am most grateful. The Club has had wonderful 125 Birthday Celebrations I felt very privileged to be part of these celebrations. This year many new friends were made and many games were won and lost but at the end of the year we can all look back on a great year at Pirates with many great memories. Happy Holidays and may 2014 be a year full of wonderful blessings for everyone
FUNCTIONS/BAR MANAGER POSITION
As everyone is aware Dave is leaving the Club. Dave filled two positions at Pirates – one the Grounds man and the other the Functions/Bar Manager. SO We are looking to fill the Functions/Bar Manager Position from January 2014. The job description is attached. PIRATES HAT RACE – 16th DECEMBER
The last event of the Pirates Calendar is on Monday 16th December. I look forward to the support of all the members who are in Johannesburg for this event. 
To those members travellin for their holidays please travel safely and to those staying in Jhb please do not forget to visit Pirates. The Club is closing on the evening of Friday 20th December and opening again on Saturday 4thJanuary – so see you here. Hope everyone has a wonderful Festive Season
