Hi there Pirates Members and Friends

The week’s fly by – as the old saying going time flies when you having fun and this we certainly do at Pirates.  A very successful fun Wine Tasting was held last night and we look forward to a great weekend of sport and fun this weekend.

PIRATES RUGBY

The Rugby Boys are starting the 2nd round of the Club Fixtures on Saturday (tomorrow) with a game against Harlequins Pretoria in Pretoria.

Only the 1sts, 2nds and 3rds are playing tomorrow as Harlequins can unfortunately not field an U19 and U21 side.  The games kick off at 13h15 with the 1st team playing at 16h00.

The rest of the Fixtures are as follows:

Saturday 27th July – Pirates vs UJ at Pirates

Friday 2nd August – Pirates vs Pretoria Police at Pirates

These are great fixtures and we look forward to some great support for the boys in these Cross Border Fixtures

LIONS VS KINGS – BUS FROM PIRATES

Promotion/Relegation Game is taking place on Saturday 3rd August Pirates is doing a bus to this game.  We need to fill Ellis Park and support the LIONS. Kick off time TBC once we know where the Super 15 Final will be held

Cost for a rugby ticket, return bus trip and drinks on the bus is R200.00. Please contact Non at non@piratesrugby.co.za to book your ticket and seat

SPORTSMAN’S LUNCH TIME AGAIN !!

The Club will be hosting a Sportsman’s Lunch on Friday 2nd August before the Promotion Relegation Game. Guests Speakers will be James Small and James Dalton so it should be a very fun-filled afternoon. The cost for the lunch is R200.00 per person and R1600.00 per table of 8

PIRATES CRAFT BEER CLUB – Thursday 15th August

All the information about the Crafters Beer Club will be sent as a separate email.  We have got some really exciting things on the go so diarise the date now and make sure you reply when you receive the information as the guest list will be limited to 120 people

The Shop will be open this Saturday morning from 08h00 – 12h00. The shop stocks all the 125 Memorabilia – have a look at this great Coffee Mug available for R45.00 each

HOCKEY LADIES MATCH – SUNDAY 21ST JULY

The Pirates Ladies will be playing against Jeppe on Sunday 21st July at 3pm at Jeppe. It would be great to get some support for the ladies in this match

PIRATES TREES

I have had a few enquiries about the trees we planted at the club and I am pleased to report that they are doing very well.  Most of the trees were planted around the top field and on the bank of the top field to try and hide the Dump.
