THIS WEEKEND AT PIRATES

This Saturday and Sunday we are proud to be hosting the Golden Lions Rugby Union 7’s Tournament. All the Golden Lions Clubs will be playing. Games start at 10h30 on Saturday and 08h30 on Sunday.We would like to encourage everyone to come down for a drink and get in a game of good rugby.

CAR STICKERS
Please collect your car stickers from the office in order to gain entry into the club parking this weekend for free. We will be charging R20 per car if you do not have a sticker.

CLUB DRAW

Our club draw takes place tonight in the Main Bar.

The prize money is up to R1500.

Remember you have to be there to win.

BOWLS

Our Saturday League side lost by 10 points to 8 on Saturday 20 February to Bedfordview . It was a close encounter as the score suggests and , had lady luck smiled on us at a couple of important moments , the result could have turned the other way .

The Wednesday League side played their final game of the season yesterday . They lost to a strong Dunkeld side but were not disgraced in the process . The beer was very cold afterwards and a good time was had by all .

This coming Saturday morning should see the first of our membership drives showing some positive results when a number of current bowlers make their way to Pirates for a morning’s bowls. Hopefully they’ll stay to enjoy our hospitality.

In the afternoon our Saturday League side hosts Wanderers in what is a must win game for us in order to pick up some much needed points.

HOCKEY

Pirates Hockey is hosting a Karaoke fundraiser this Saturday the 27th of February. Come sing your heart out.

R100 per person which includes a welcome drink and Wors Roll.
