3 couples from Pirates Tennis competed in the Irene Wimbledon Grass Court tennis tournament last weekend. Congratulations to Christa Cameron and Hylton Morby-Smith who won one of the 2 final sections, and came away with a winners’ check and some wine! There was also a Pimms drinking competition and although the Pirates tennis members competed, they were not winners in that competition!
SPORTS MAN’S LUNCH
They were entertained by James Small and Stefan Terblanche being interviewed by David O Sullivan as well as some lovely Irish dancing.
Proceeds from the lunch went to the Rugby Section as well as the late minister of St Columba’s Presbyterian Church Chunky Young Benevolent Fund.
Richard Mac Callum gave a tribute to the late Chunky and requested for those interested in supporting the fund to please pay directly into the bank account below with reference as Pirates Club
