PIRATES RUGBY SCHOOLS CHALLENGE – FINALS AT PIRATES 8TH JUNE

The Pirates Rugby Schools Challenge was the brain child of Rugby’s Vice-Chairman Brad Guymer.  This initiative was started to recruit school boys to play rugby at Pirates after leaving school.  It is also a platform to show school boys that Club Rugby is alive and well and that there is more to rugby than just the Varsity Cup Competition.

This initiative has been a fantastic success.  The following schools participated and enjoyed it very much

Del la Salle, Fourways, Northcliff, Maragon, Heron Bridge

The schools played each other on a round robin basis during their normal rugby fixtures at their schools culminating in the finals onSaturday.  The finals are taking place at Pirates tomorrow Saturday 8th June.

Here are the games scheduled for Saturday at Pirates.  Come down and support some good school boy rugby.

Well done Brad this is fantastic for Pirates and the boys.  We are looking for a naming sponsor for this Challenge for 2014 especially following on from the success and enthusiasm of this year’s event
