Pirates Club – The Place to Be

Hello Pirates Members and Friends

Pirates had a great weekend at the Club this last weekend.  The local derby between Pirates and Wits Rugby brought many people down to the Club which was fantastic.

The next rugby home game is TONIGHT against Randfontein.

The Club Draw took place but no money was won so the next draw will take place on Friday 7^th June and there is R2000.00 to be won.  The names who came out the barrel on Friday were:

1. Brian Malcolmess – Road Running
2. Richard MacCullum – Social

Sorry that you gents were not at the Club but it now gives us a chance to win more money.  Make sure you are at the Club on the 7^th.

CONGRATULATIONS TO HELENE OBERHOLZER

Helena did Pirates and herself pride by getting Gold in her category in the SA Duathlon championships and was the 4^th Lady home overall.

Fantastic work Helena.  We are very proud of you

PIRATES RUGBY NEWS

Pirates did not have a great day in the office on Saturday against Wits, unfortunately all the teams came second but it was a great day at the Club.  Thanks to everyone who came down to support the boys.  The next home game is on FRIDAY (today) against Randfontein.  The 1^st games kick off at 18h30 with the 1^st Team kicking off at 21h00.  Bring your winter woollies and come down to support the boys.

PIRATES CLUB GOLF DAY – FRIDAY 17^TH MAY

Thanks to all the members who have already booked their 4 Ball for the Club’s Golf Day. We have had a wonderful response. WE NEED TWO MORE FOUR BALLS TO COMPLETE THE FIELD – PLEASE SUPPORT THE CLUB AND PLAY GOLF!!!! If anyone can assist with prizes we would be most grateful – please let me know if you have a contact we can approach.

The Club is once again stocking German Crafters Beer in a 1 litre bottle – R48.00 for 1 litre of beer.  Come down and try it. From tomorrow Friday, until stocks last BUY 2 REDD’S ciders for just R20.00. Drostyhof Extra Light Wine is available behind the bar – try it out. Buy a Heineken and get a scratch card and stand a chance to win some really good prizes
