THIS WEEKEND AT PIRATES

This Saturday we have a junior cricket match at 8am as well as the 3rd’s playing at 1pm.

We’re super excited for Joburg’s toughest half marathon 21km road race this Sunday. Come join in on the fun and support our road runners. The vibe will be electric.

VALENTINE’S DAY BRUNCH

We held our Valentines Day brunch last Sunday on our new deck. It was a lovely morning, thank you to everyone who supported us.

BOWLS

Our Wednesday League side pulled off another win yesterday, 17th March, when we beat one of the Killarney teams by 23 shots to 17. This win puts us in the top half of our section but we’re unlikely to make the play-offs against any of the other section leaders as our accumulated points aren’t sufficient. Our involvement in this league therefore comes to an end next Wednesday unless all the current section leaders get thumped and we’re able to pull off a really huge win.

Saturday league picks up again this weekend when we play Bedfordview. We’ve had a compulsory break because of JBA tournaments. This is the third last of our matches for the season which comes to an end on 5 March.

HOCKEY

Pirates Hockey is hosting a Karaoke fundraiser on the 27th of February. Come sing your heart out.

R100 per person which includes a welcome drink and Wors Roll.

TENNIS

This weekend sees the start of the 2016 Tennis Club Champs. Order of play has been communicated to all players by e-mail. You can also view this week’s draw at the club house.

Food and drinks will be served each weekend during club champs so please pop down and support the players!

ROAD RUNNING

Our 21km road race takes places this Sunday. We are still looking for volunteers to help assist on the day. Please contact racedirector@piratesroadrunning.co.za
