PIRATES CASIO 10KM ROAD RACE – A HUGE SUCCESS
Well done to the Road Running Section for once again organizing a fantastic race on Sunday. There was a great field of runners and the weather played it’s part so all in all a very good event once again for the Club. Thanks to all the members who gave of their time to help make it a success.

PIRATES SPORTS SHOP HAS LOVELY PIRATES GEAR
The Sports Shop has received all sorts of lovely Pirates kit which is available to everyone. Socks have arrived and these are available @ R60.00 per pair. Pop down to the shop which is open Monday to Thursday evenings from 18h00 to 20h00 and on Saturday mornings from 09h00 to 12h00. Matthew is very obliging and if there is anything you require please give him a call on 082 446 9037.
WINE CLUB – THURSDAY 19TH JULY
Pirates Wine Club is holding their monthly tasting on Thursday 19th July. They will be tasting Guardian Peak Wines This promises to be a great evening. Everyone is welcome to join the wine tasting
The cost is:
R50.00 for members
R100.00 for non-members
This includes a light meal after the wine has been tasted. Anyone interested in attending the tasting to please contact Non at non@piratesrugby.co.za
A BIG THANK YOU AGAIN – WE HAVE GREAT MEMBERS
The Pirates Club for the first time in many many years has an efficient sprinkler system to water the fields – this is such fantastic news. Thanks goes to JOHN BLAMEY who has been looking at ways to help us for a few months now. John is involved in irrigation so he used his contacts and managed to get us a sprinkler system donated from a Company by the name of CONTROLLED IRRIGATION – thanks so much to Gareth Manson who so kindly donated the system to the Club. Thanks also to CLIVE BARTMANN who got the pump fixed for us so that it can work non-stop. Thank you so much guys it is hugely appreciated. If anyone is looking for any type of irrigation systems or a plumber please remember these great guys.
