Pirates Rugby play in Curtain Raiser at Ellis Park

Hi there Pirates Members and Friends

The Club enjoyed a fantastic weekend last weekend with lots happening and many members and friends enjoying the Club and all the great facilities.  This weekend is no different with home rugby on Friday night and busses going to Ellis Park on Saturday for the Promotion/Relegation Game.  The money was not won at the Club Draw so next month will be up to R1000.00

2^nd PROMOTION/RELEGATION GAME AT ELLIS PARK– LIONS vs KINGS

The 2^nd Promotion Relegation game between the Lions and Kings is taking place on Saturday 3^rd August at Ellis Park.  Kick off is at 17h00.

Pirates has four busses departing from the Club at 15h45.  There are no tickets available but we do still have a few seats available on the bus.

PIRATES RUGBY NEWS

Pirates Rugby had a fairly hard day against UJ last Friday.  The 3^rd Team did us very proud and beat UJ to book themselves a spot in the Semi-Final of the Cross Border Semi Finals. The 1^st and 2^nd sides did so well against the students but were just pipped at the post.

The Rugby Club plays their last game of the Season this weekend.  The 2nds, 3rds, U21’s and U19’s will be playing at home against Pretoria Police on Friday 2^nd August.

The 1^st Team are playing at Ellis Park in the Curtain Raiser to the Lions vs Kings game.  Kick off for this game is at 13h00.

HOCKEY LADIES MATCH – SUNDAY 28^th JULY

The Ladies 1^st hockey side had a great win on Sunday against TUT by winning 8-1

Samantha Prost scored a hatrick!  Well done Samantha

Their next game is against Crusaders on the Saturday 3^rd August at Randburg Astro at 17h15
