Pirates Old Boys Tens Festival

Pirates host the Old Boys Tens Festival this Saturday.

Members who present their membership card can come in for free. Everyone else needs to pay R20 person and R30 to park your car.

Aim of the tournament: The Old Boys Tens is the initiative of Tournament Director, Marcel Malherbe and the Queen’s College Old Boys Association, and received immediate support from fellow Old Boy Associations, partners and the inaugral host venue.

Our aim is to align synergies amongst existing Old Boy Associations of South Africa’s traditional schools, through the game of Tens rugby.

We wish to create an annual sentimental and nostalgic event that most Old Boys can identify with that will benefit education through funds raised by the event.
Old Boys Associations across the country have represented the following schools in the 2014 inaugral event: Queen’s College, Selborne College, Dale College, St Andrews College, Grey High, Jeppe High, King Edward VII School.
We hope to grow the event on an annual basis that will draw more entries from other Old Boy Associations.

Fund raising initiative: To transform education in South Africa by elevating the standards of education by improving the quality of learning and teaching throughout the country.

Our key objective is to give deserving young men and women the opportunity to receive a quality education, and thus provide them with the chance of a lifetime.

The Old Boys Tens is part of the broader vision being spearheaded by the Alumni of Queen’s College, and fellow Old Boy Associations to support the integrated transformation and development of the traditional schools they represent.

Proceeds from the tournament goes towards the development of education opportunities and education facilitators of the participating schools and their greater communities.

WIGGLERS & WOBBLERS HAT RACE- 16th December

Come down and please support our annual charity race. Bring your funny hat, kids and pooches and enjoy the lovely Gauteng weather!

The course is around 8km with one water/beer point for hydration.
