Hope everyone had a happy voting day and managed to place your cross. The Club had a great busy weekend last weekend and we look forward to a similar weekend this weekend. With the Quiz Evening tonight, rugby on the big screens and a wonderful Mother’s Day Jozi Market on Saturday morning.

BAREFOOT COMRADES – 2014 – PIRATES MEMBER DOES IT FOR CHARITY
Pirates Road Running is very proud to have a member doing something extra-ordinary for Charity.
Hanno Langenhoven is running barefoot from Johannesburg to Pietermartizburg to arrive there just in time to run the Comrades Marathon. All this running will be done BAREFOOT! Hanno’s journey started on 1st May. Follow is progress on Facebook.
The reason for this run is to raise money to feed children. Hanno has teamed up with Reel Gardening to realise his goal.
Sponsor 1m of his journey for R20.00 and help feed hungry children.
PIRATES SOCCER -COUNTDOWN TO KICK OFF
Africa United Pirates Football Fives Club
With two floodlit, all weather, artificial turf 5-a-side football pitches this brand new facility is now ready for kick off. Africa United Pirates is hosting a 16 team tournament on Saturday 10th of May between 1.30pm and 6.30pm. Feel free to pop past and check out the action.
The 5-a-side football leagues are due to kick off on Monday 19th May and will initially run from Monday – Thursday. To enter a league side, hire a pitch or book a party, please contact Paul Sommerville – 074 102 0171

PIRATES BEER CLUB – THURSDAY 15TH MAY
The Club will be hosting their monthly Beer Club on Thursday 15th May. Everyone is welcome to attend this great fun evening.
This month we will be tasting Beers from De Garve Brewery and promises to be a great evening.

Due to many of our members (especially the one’s who support the Club Draw) being away on the 30th May as they will be preparing to run the Comrades on the 1st June, we have decided to move the Club Draw to Friday 6th June. I am sure everyone will understand. R2 075.00 to be won
