Rockies Gerald Fox Memorial Half Marathon & 10km

The Rockies race is the last of the four races in the Vitality Series. These races are all pre-entry only and already sold out. It has however become apparent that entries do become available if you are interested in running. The route is tough mentally as there are lots of turns, with the entire route being squeezed in between Bolton, Oxford and Jan Smuts roads. The 21km is a double lapper with the race starting at 7am outside the Joburg Zoo. The race is part of the internal Old Goats v Young Kids competition.

Boulders 25km & 10km

The Boulders race is a point to point race into Kaapmuiden from the N4, one of South Africa’s eastern most points. The route is hilly. The race starts at 6am and buses are available to the start at 5am. Online entries close on the 14th September however you are able to enter on the morning of the race.

Sanlam Cape Town Marathon & 10km

The Cape Town marathon is Africa’s only gold status marathon – in order to have this status it needs to include various things including a flat and fast course and it certainly delivers on that. The only real inclines on the marathon route are the humps over railway lines. The race is pre-entry only and they are already closed.
