ABOUT PIRATES ROAD RUNNING

Since 1977 — For All Runners, be they quick or slow.

Pirates Road Running welcomes all runners and athletes. Founded in 1977 as a section of Pirates Club we are a well-established and social club of runners of all abilities. The club boasts a proud Comrades tradition and a wealth of running experience available to any runner looking to reach their goal; be it their first half marathon, marathon or ultra; with weekly time trials and club runs. We also count an active walkers group, cyclists and avid trail runners among our members. Pirates hosts two races and three event club runs on the annual running calendar
Interested in joining Pirates Running? Members of Pirates Club do not pay any additional fees to join the Running Section. Please complete the Pirates Club membership application at piratesclub.co.za/join and we will be in touch once your Pirates Club membership is finalised.

Sunday 21 January Club Run: Newlands (21km or 15km) or Two Towers 28km

Depart: 07h00
Venue: Pirates Club main parking

As previously mentioned the Sunday club run is catering for all those that need to do distance but not to the detriment of those that don't. To that end we are doing the Newlands route this Sunday with its 21km and 15km options. For those that need a longer route (such as myself) the option is to turn onto the Two Towers route at the BP in Albertsville to give the full 28km route - warning that it won't be easy as it includes the bulk of Northcliff in addition to Melville hill and the Linden ridge.
