Dear Fellow Pirates and Friends

The Potjiekos Competition was a lot of fun – just a pity we had 9 pots cancel on us during Thursday and Friday but the guys who were here had a lot of fun and then enjoyed the game against Wales afterwards.  Thanks to Dave Benn for organising this for the Club.

Well done to Max Holding on being the winner of the Potjiekos Competition – he was a very well deserved winner.

Last night a very successful Beer Club was held at the Club with Smack Republic as the Brewer – thanks for supporting

PIRATES SPORTSMANS LUNCH – TODAY

Thanks very much to all our loyal members who have supported the lunch today – it promises to be great fun.

I would like to thank Steve Braham for the many many years of dedication to the success of these lunches.  They have been a huge asset to the Club and often came at a time when the club really needed a good turnover in the pub.

Steve the Club salutes you for the many years of plugging away at getting these off the ground each time and for finding the guest speakers and the guests to attend.  I know it took up a lot of your personal time and for that the Club is most grateful.

Thank you
