ABOUT PIRATES TENNIS
Over 120 vibrant and active members of all ages.
Pirates Club boasts six beautiful tennis courts, four of which have floodlights. We offer social tennis as well as competitive tennis (regular league fixtures) throughout the year. Our resident coaches offer both private and group coaching with regular tennis clinics for both young and old. Our Tennis Bar & Lounge which overlooks all the courts is a great social venue for both members and guests to enjoy on any given day. In 2022, two of our courts were refurbished alongside upgraded lighting on our floodlit courts. In 2023 the bar received a much needed make over with thanks to Devils Peak lager and an inverter was installed to keep the bar open during loadshedding hours!
Visitors to Pirates Tennis
Pirates Tennis Club uses SportyHQ to manage court bookings.
To ensure that members get priority, visitors are only able to book courts during certain periods, and only 1 day in advance.
To book a court, you must have a SportyHQ account, and be affiliated with Pirates Tennis Club. These are once off operations, which will allow you to book courts in the future.
Courts are available for visitors use outside of club times at a rate of R65 per person during the week, R100 for Social Tennis as well as an additional R50 for floodlights if needed.
- Saturdays from 10am to 5pm
- Sundays 8am to 1pm
- Monday to Friday 2pm to 5pm.
Adult Social
- Saturdays from 2pm
- Sundays from 9:30am
- Wednesdays from 4pm
Junior social:
- Saturdays from 10am to 11h30.
- Squad training (by invitation): Tuesday 6pm to 7h30pm
2025 Subs:
All Pirates Tennis members are invoiced for their Club Membership as well as the sub-sectional fee which covers maintenance, league fees as well as lights.
This Fee also includes the costs for balls used at social tennis as well as league matches.Tennis Club Membership Fees

Parking for the tennis courts is located on the right hand side of the East Campus. At the main entrance turn right and drive around the bowls greens until you see the 5-a-side courts. Parking is secure and easily accessible to the tennis courts, lounge and bar.
