ABOUT PIRATES SQUASH

Social and competitive players of all ages.

The Squash Section at Pirates consists of a healthy mix of beginners, casual social players, league players and everything in between.
Pirates is one of the oldest serving Gauteng Squash league clubs, having first entered league 40 years ago back in 1982. We have been an active and continuous league member ever since with both men’s and women’s teams competing for Pirates across all league standards. Renowned as one of the more social clubs in Gauteng squash it is not unusual to see the Pirates Squash league teams enjoying the food and bar of the main club with their opponents after league hostilities have finished for the evening.
Saturday Social Mixed Doubles days are held every month or so where all standards of squash players are encouraged to come through and enjoy some fun playing with both new faces and regulars.

Pirates Club has two squash courts, newly re-painted and re-sanded. We welcome both social and league players of all ages and standards
Pirates currently have 4 teams competing in Men’s League, 2 teams competing in Ladies League and 1 team competing in Gauteng Masters. Men’s League matches take place on Tuesday evenings and Ladies League on Mondays
The Squash Courts have member card-controlled access. We also have an on-line booking system for members. Non Pirates members are welcome to use the courts off during off peak times at a cost of R100 for 45 minutes.
