Big Week for Pirates Running Section

Good Morning Pirates Members and Friends

Wow the Club was busy this last weekend. Thank you to all the members who came down to support the Club. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying our great club. Look forward to seeing many of you again this weekend.

STAFF NEWS

The club is needing a new barman so we have decided to promote Lesley to barman and we will hiring a new cleaner/bar tender.

Please can all our members be patient and support Lesley while he is in training. We are very pleased to be able to give Lesley this opportunity and he is very excited about his new position. Lesley will officially become a full-time barman from the beginning of June

SENIOR RUGBY BOYS PLAY UJ @ PIRATES

Saturday 24th May

The rugby boys had great games against Impala on Saturday with 2nds and 3rds winning and U21 and 1sts narrowly losing. The guys really played well and are ready for the game against UJ this Saturday at Pirates. All games will be close encounters so we look forward to support from the start. Here are the game times:

Ladies 1st team have 2 important games this week so get down to Randburg on Thursday evening to watch a great game against Crusaders and St Stithians on Saturday afternoon to show our team support against the defending Premier league ladies champs.

Ladies 3rd side and Mens A side are at Roedean for consecutive games – let’s use this nice scheduling to rally support for one another.

SUPER RUGBY IS BACK AT ELLIS PARK

DIARISE 7TH JUNE – GOURMET FOOD, BEER AND WINE FEST

Pirates will be hosting a Winter Gourmet Wine, Beer and Food Festival on Saturday 7th June.

Please diarise the date as it will be a great event to attend.

BIG WEEK FOR PIRATES ROAD RUNNING

Comrades is around the corner so wishing all those running a cold and flu free week. In preparation for the big run the Pirates Runners had their last official run on Sunday at RAC and WOW did they make an impression. Look at all the runners coming in to the finish on Sunday. Well done to Adrien Thoma for coming up with this idea it went down so well.

CLUB DRAW FRIDAY 6th June with a difference

Mitchells Beer will be attending our Club Draw on the 6th June and making a difference.

There will be Mitchells Beer on tap throughout the evening plus there will be give aways of Mitchells Beer AND they will be sponsoring live ‘light’ background music for the evening. Pirates Grill will have a special menu on offer and it promises to be a fantastic evening at the Club.

Everyone is welcome to attend on Friday 6th so please encourage friends and families to come down and enjoy a wonderful fun-filled family evening at the Club
