It is the Club Draw tonight so I look forward to seeing many of our members down at the Club tonight. (Psst you will see a very different looking club tonight so enjoy as it has already been draped for a party tomorrow) Thank you to the members who have paid their subs already much appreciated. If you have not received your invoice and would like to be in the Club Draw you can pay your subs in the meantime. The fee structure and bank details are below:
2014 MEMBERSHIP FEES
The Club is very pleased to let everyone know that we are offering two more categories of members for 2014 which are:
Family Membership
R2 250.00 per couple once off payment or R225.00 per month over a 12 month contract
Student/Scholar Membership
R700.00 once off payment or R84.00 per month over a 12 month contract. You must be a full-time student and under the age of 23 years
Please take advantage of these new categories and we look forward to getting some new members through this initiative
The Annual Membership for the Club is R1 400.00 as a once off payment or R140.00 per month over a 12 month contract
Country and Pensioners Membership (over 60 years old) is R700.00 as a once off payment or R84.00 per month over a 12 month contract
The Hockey and Squash Sections have additional Sectional fees but these are still to be confirmed asap.

We will also hold an attendance draw which will cost you R5.00 and you can win whatever is in the pot
PIRATES 21km ROAD RACE – SUNDAY 16th FEBRUARY
This is a great 21km Race so we would like to encourage all our members to tell their friends about the race. It is always very well organised and well supported so definitely a race not to miss on the Gauteng Race Calendar
Please can the members offer their assistance to the Road Running Section in the form of marshalling, water tables and start and finish areas. If you are able to assist in anyway please contact the office and we will put you in touch with the correct person.
The race starts at 7am from Pirates Club
MINI AND JUNIOR HOCKEY GETS UNDERWAY SOON
Mini Hockey runs from the age groups U5 to U13 and is for children born between 2001 and 2009.
Registration and first practice SATURDAY 1 MARCH 2014 from 9am to 10:30am
Those who register for the whole season receive a gift from Pirates.
The season cost is R900 (March to August), alternatively you can pay R60 to attend an individual session. Children are welcome to try out the first session for free. Please ask about the sibling discounts.
Practices will be from 9am till 10:30am each Saturday, running through till the end of August. Practices run during school holidays as we have private and government school pupils. No practice over the Easter weekend or other Public Holiday.
Uniform is available at the Pirates shop (Wear with generic navy shorts/skorts)
Tournaments will be held on various Saturdays between April and August.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – 2014
Junior Hockey is for U15 and U17 players (teens born between 1997 and 2000)
Registration and first practice MONDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2014 from 6pm to 7:30pm
Registration costs R1200 for the season and uniforms can be purchased at the Pirates shop.
U15 practices are Mondays 6pm till 7:30pm starting 10 February 2014.
U17 practices will start on Mondays 6pm till 7:30pm starting 10 February 2014 but this will change, new date TBA. No practice over the Easter weekend or other Public Holiday.
Matches will be held on various Friday evenings starting in April.
