International Tennis tournament
Pirates Tennis Club was represented last Sunday at the ITT tournament at KenRho Tennis Club. Our country was Holland, and the A team was Merryl Coaker and Allison Liechterkost and the B Team was Rachel Thomas and Evie Smith. The A Team won 3 and lost 2 of their matches and came 2nd Overall, and the B Team won 2 and lost 3 but came 3rd Overall. We came 3rd in the overall standings. It was a fun morning and there were six clubs playing in total – Boskruin (Austria) who played a very strong team and won both sections comfortably, Mondeor (Portugal), Jeppe (Greece), Italian Club (Italy), Kenrho (Great Britain) and us. The Mixed tournament of the ITT will be played on 2nd August.
We are hosting a Nelson Mandela Jumble Sale and are looking for items of clothing to be donated. If you have any extra clothing/shoes/bags etc, please contact Joss to arrange to drop it off.
