FROM THE OFFICE…

A Club like Pirates is so strong because of our wonderful members and once again we need to thank our members for supporting the Club

A very big thanks to Mike Schwartz from Rustic Timber for re-doing the steps from the top of the car park to the fields – these steps were such a danger and they have now been re-done and look terrific. Thanks so much Mike.

I am sure many of you have noticed the new table top on the high tables in the bar. Thanks so much to Ian Benson for arranging to have the wooden tops replaced on our existing cocktail tables. They really look terrific. Ian, thank you for your interest and support.

We would like to introduce you to Wilson who works at Pirates:

Wilson is one of Pirates groundsmen. He keeps our gardens and grounds looking amazing.

He has been with Pirates for the last 5 years. He has 6 children and is still married.

The next time you see Wilson, say hello. 🙂

Pirates Compost

The Club is starting a compost heap on the premises – near the skip where we will be recycling all garden and food waste.

The Grounds Staff are being taught how to make a good compost so hopefully we will have enough for our own gardens and then even enough for them to start selling to members.

In order for this to work really well we need some old shade cloth – if anyone has some lying around at home please could you donate it to the club for the Compost Heap.
