Hello Pirates Members and Friends

Thanks to everyone who attended the Club Draw on Friday night – there was not a great crowd but thanks to the loyal supporters who come down it is much appreciated.  The money was not won so the winnings have gone up to R1 500.00.  The unlucky members whose names were called out are Warren Brewsher who lost out on R1000.00 and Thane Duffin who lost out on R500.00.  The next Club Draw is on Friday 3rd May so make sure you are here to win.

Pirates Club AGM

Thank you to the members who attended the Club AGM on Monday night.  We had a quorum and the meeting went ahead.

The decision regarding the lease was taken and it was decided by unanimous vote that the Lease in its current format be rejected by the Club.  With the proviso the Club goes back to Johannesburg Property Company with a counter proposal for the way forward.  A committee will be formed to put this proposal together so if there is anyone who is able to assist on this committee please let the office now and we will get you involved.

CRICKET SECTION ENDED THE SEASON ON A HIGH

Well done to the Cricket Section who ended the Season on a fantastic note by coming 2nd in the Premier League only 3 points behind the winners.  This is a fantastic effort by the players and coaches as last year was not a great year for the side.

All teams did well this Season and all in all it was good Season for the Cricket Section. Well done to Roger Burne and his Committee for all the hard work in getting the Cricket Section to where it is today.

They will be celebrating in style this evening at their Annual Cricket Dinner which is being held at the Club. Go Big Guys you deserve it
