What a fantastic success the Road Race was on Sunday. WELL DONE to Tracey McKay and the Road Running Committee and Members you guys and ladies did a fantastic job. Wow it was a record field of 2800 runners with very few problems. Fantastic job well done.
Pirates is hosting the Charles Glass Society on Wednesday 27th February – everyone is welcome to attend this function so please support. Money raised from these functions goes to the
SA Boucher Rhino Conservation Fund. Look forward to seeing many Pirates members at this event.

Pirates Wine Club
Pirates holds a very successful Wine Club everyone month. Last night we tasted Saronsberg Cellar. It was a successful evening with wonderful wines being tasted. The Club will now be holding two of the most popular wines behind the bar for the month from the Wine Tasting. The Wines being offered this month are Provenance Rooi 2010 and Provenance Sauvignon Blanc 2012. Ask the Barmen for the Wine Club Wine of the Month and give it a try
Next Wine Tasting will be on Thursday 14th March and we will be tasting De Waal Wines. Contact Non if you are keen to attend these tastings

2013 Hockey season is getting underway
The Pirates Hockey Season is gearing up for a wonderful Season. Here are the details for the Season:
Women’s 1st and 2nd trials Thursday 7th, Sunday 10th , Monday 11th March – TIME and LOCATION TBC
Women’s 3rds and 4ths trials/season kick off – Wednesday 13th March at Pirates Astro from 6.30pm – Practice is on Wednesdays for the season from 6.30pm
Men’s Season start date is Thursday 7th March, 7pm at Pirates Astro – Men’s practices are on Thursdays at Pirates
Social Hockey will continue every Tuesday at the Club from 19h00 until Trials start. Don’t forget to like the hockey facebook page and post all the updates:
