Thank You time again

Pirates has such fantastic caring members – thanks so much to Ian Benson who very kindly donated stainless steel to the Pigeon House to fix all the areas that were looking bumped and bashed – the Pigeon House looks so much better thanks so much.  Ian has also donated fantastic wine racks to the Club as well – these are so useful in the Club’s storeroom so thanks so much again Ian.  Your interest and generosity to Pirates is hugely appreciated.

Swimming is underway at the Club

Thank you to the guys and girls who have offered their help for the Swimming at Pirates.  It has got underway and the children absolutely LOVE it.

We continue to offer squash coaching to the children at Pirates as well.  These sessions form part of Egolisquash.   Egolisquash is an outreach programme of Central Gauteng Squash which introduces the sport of squash to about 2 500 kids from the Inner-city of Johannesburg, Alexandra and Soweto

Egolisquash is currently running a Help Me to Read Campaign, an appeal to the wider community to donate unwanted books. Books that are forgotten, unused, or simply already read may be a clutter in many people’s bookcases or closets, but in the right circumstances, they can be a treasure to the disadvantaged Egolisquash players.

If you have any books please could you bring them to Pirates and we will make sure they get to the right children

Below is the invite to the Rugby Club’s Function – this is a Men’s only function with Nick Mallet as the Guest Speaker.

The Rugby Section would like ALL Pirates members to attend and support this function.
