NEW FENCING & ENTRANCE
We are extremely proud to be putting up the new fencing around the Tennis & Bowls club. We have also started building the entrance to the club. It’s looking great.
2016 PIRATES MEMBERSHIP
- R1 600 full membership. Some sections may charge a fee above this.
- R800 o’60 / u’23
- R800 Country Member
- R1 440 married couple discount
- R7 500 5 year membership 2016 – 2020
- R160 p/m debit order for 11 months
- R100 loaded onto membership card if settled in full by end of January 2016 or monthly debit order agreement signed by end of January 2016
- Membership card deactivated and funds returned if not paid by end March 2016.

2016 Promises to be a great year at Pirates
We have made the following internal changes to staff responsibilities for 2016
The Bar
Great news is that we have promoted Lesley to Bar Manager of Tennis and Soccer Section. Lesley will now be permanently based across the road.
We are very happy to have had the opportunity to offer Lesley this promotion and we wish all the best of luck with the new position
More good news is that we have given Thabang the opportunity to be the relief Manager at the Tennis and Soccer Section. On Lesley’s day off and during his holidays Thabang will be the man in charge.
Thabang will also be used as the extra barman when the Club is busy and extra barmen are required
Eddie has been promoted to a Senior Barman at the Main Club
As members I appeal to you all to support our staff in whichever way you can as they are essential and loved cogs in the wheel of Pirates
The Office
I am very happy all the office staff are still with us for 2016 just a few responsibility changes
Pippa is our ‘Jack of all Trades’ Lady she is responsible for all membership and function bookings queries. I would advise all members to get to know Pippa as she will be looking after your admin needs at the Club

Pippa is also has some accounting jobs so she is a very busy lady.
Pippa’s hours are every morning from 08h00 to 13h00
Jeanne is the Bar Manager and is responsible for all the issues surrounding the bar and the bar staff. Jeanne no longer takes bookings for functions but will be responsible for the operational side of the booking, she loves making functions look pretty so we are very happy to have her doing that for the Club and then of course her great love is the gardens which will also fall under her care.
Hayley is our go to girl for all Marketing and Sales. She will look after Facebook and the Website. If any section is looking for help with a fundraising event please get hold of Hayley she will assist you as much as she can to make it a success.
Val is the bookkeeper at the Club. She works three full days a week and two mornings a week. Val has done a sterling job in getting many procedures in place and we look forward to seeing all her plans coming to fruition soon.
All members are welcome to phone the Club with any queries they may have and we will assist as much as we can.
