THE CLUB’S GOT NEW CHAIRS – YAH
Thank you so much to the Pirates Wine Circle and in particular Elaine Clingman who organises the tastings each month for the FANTASTIC new chairs in the Main Bar. We have at last been able to rid ourselves of the wrought iron (collapsing) chairs and replaced them with great red and navy hard plastic chairs. They look fantastic, are comfortable and give the Main Bar a real facelift. The generosity of the Wine Club is so very much appreciated by the Club. THANK YOU – THANK YOU – THANK YOU
PIRATES 21KM ROAD RACE – SUNDAY 17TH FEBRUARY
This promises to be a fantastic event and we need all our members to tell their friends about this race and GET THEM TO ENTER. If you are a member we NEED YOUR HELP on the day to either marshal, entry tables or water tables. “Nestle Waters will be providing specially designed Moisture Management shirts for first 2000 entries” with an entry fee of only R65.00 this is definitely worth it. This will be a huge event and we look forward to the support of our members.

PIRATES 125 BOOK we need someone to help
The Club is planning on producing a book for our 125 Birthday. A very kind lady named Wendy Landau has offered to get the information together for this book. She does however require assistance from the Club on layout, suggestions on content etc. Please can a member offer his/her services to assist Wendy with this task. Brad Guymer from the Rugby Section has managed to secure a good deal for Pirates members to join the New Virgin Active at Victory Park. - Social Hockey is held every Tuesday at the Club from 19h00. Everyone is welcome to join so please spread the word and come down and have some fun
