Pirates is looking forward to hosting the first ever Festival of Beer event at the Club today, Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is welcome to attend. More details about the event is below.
The Club will be open for all members over the entire weekend – parking for members will be in our normal parking lot
The Springboks vs Australia Game will be shown at the Club and there are TV’s at the Festival of Beer Tents as well. See you down at the Club.
CLUB DRAW is up to R2 000.00
Thanks so all the members who attended the Club Draw last Friday. The money was not won. The next draw is on Friday 27th September.
Bad luck to Tebello Mosoeu who was the first name out the draw and Bev Tucker who was the second name out the draw – neither were here so no money was won.

Joburg Festival of Beer
Pirates is hosting the Festival of Beer this weekend on the fields at the Club and it looks awesome. Come down and enjoy this fantastic event. The organisers have arranged a special price for members for FRIDAY AND SUNDAY ONLY. If you are a paid up member of Pirates you can come into the office and buy your ticket from us for R100.00. Please do not phone us as no phone bookings will be taken there are plenty of tickets so come down and buy them.
Times of the event are:
Friday: 12h00 – 22h00
Saturday: 10h00 – 22h00
Sunday: 10h00 – 19h00
PIRATES CRAFT BEER CLUB
Following on from a very successful Beer Tasting last month the Club will be holding another Craft Beer Tasting on Thursday 12th September. We will be tasting beers from Keghouse Brewery – this again should be great fun. There are still limited seats available so let Non know if you are keen to join us.
The cost is R50.00 per person which includes the tasting of a few beers and a very light meal. There are a few seats available so if you want to join us please let me know
The Bar is now stocking Copperlake Dark Ale which was the most popular beer from the last tasting. These beers are selling for R25.00 each so come down to the Club and enjoy some great Craft Beer.
HOCKEY TRIVIAL PURSUIT EVENING
A SCARY GOOD TRIVIAL PURSUIT
It is the annual Pirates Hockey Trivial Pursuit on Friday the 13th of September and this year the theme is all things horror. The event is 6:00 for 6:30 and we are expecting a bumper turnout! The cost to enter is R100 per person. You can book tables of up to 8 or enter as an individual and we will find you a table to join. You will receive a shooter on arrival and there will be prizes for the best-dressed / horror-themed outfits. RE-CYCLING AT PIRATES
This is a reminder that Pirates does re-cycling of paper, tins and glass so if you don’t have a depot close to you then please drop your re-cycling at the Club.
This recycling supports a charity so help the environment by helping them.
