The Club was a hive of activity last Saturday with a very successful Potjiekos Competition being held.  Thanks to Dave Benn to his hard work everything went off very well.  Thanks to everyone who participated and withstood the hard down pour of rain we experienced during the competition. Thanks so much to Steve Carlton who got some of the TV’s working at Pirates when it seemed like the whole of Joburg had no power – I think we were one of the only pubs around with TV’s working to show the rugby – thanks Steve!

The Club again will be very festive for the Springbok game against Scotland this Saturday so come down and enjoy the atmosphere.  Kickoff is at 16h30.

TREE PROJECT WILL BE GETTING UNDERWAY NEXT WEEK

55 Trees have been planted and Pirates is going to turn green.  The trees have been planted up on the bank of the top field – in the hopes of blocking off the grey ‘graffiti ridden’ rubbish dump wall.  The list grew from last week so thanks very much to EVERYONE who has supported this project.
