PLANS FOR THE PATIO UPGRADE
The Pirates Wine Club, which is 10 years old next month, makes money each month at every tasting held. This money is the put back into the Club in projects which the Wine Club would like to be involved in. This money does not come out of Clubs funds at all, it is all run and funded by the Wine Club. THANK YOU ELAINE
This year Elaine Clingman who is the person in charge, and myself decided that the patio needed upgrading to encourage more lunches at the Club and to give a good feel to the outside. This has been a well thought out project with her and myself seeking the best possible options within our budget to get the job done.
- We have started with the awnings, which the majority of members have really liked, although I have heard of a few negative murmurings but nothing official to me, but we are happy with them
- The next step is to get tables and chairs for the patio which will then make for a great place to come for lunch.
- The wooden benches will then all be put under the tree for people who would like to sit there.
- Our handyman is fixing the tiles and painting around the area – this is also part of the patio upgrade
- The next step is the Deck which we are busy fundraising for at the moment – that is why we need you to help at the 702 Walk the Talk
PIRATES HAS IT’S OWN FILTER COFFEE MACHINE
Thanks again to the generosity of Wine Club we have purchased a Coffee Machine and Counter for the Club to serve coffee
We have our own Pirates Blend of Coffee and it is great so please try it out when you are here
The Coffee Corner will operate when the Club is busy over weekends, except for Saturday morning as the coffee is available at the Jozi Market, and during the day when people pop in to the Club.
This machine is able to make cappuccino’s, filter coffee, espresso’s, hot chocolate and of course Irish Coffee’s
